Dancemoves PerformanceTroupes are under the direction of Carrier Hammond-Roemer, assisted by Anne O'Brien. Acceptance into one of the five levels of troupe is by invitation only. Students are evaluated during the school year and invited to audition in the summer. Rehearsals and classes are more intensive during the summer, but remain quite involved throughout the school year as well. The dancers have received Platinum and Top group and solo awards. The commitment required is only for the more serious students. Dancers must be proficient in ballet, jazz, tap and modern.

About The Director Carrie Hammond-Roemer is a graduate of Baltimore School for the Arts and holds a B.A. degree in dance from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Carrie has won numerous titles. She has performed and studied under Gregory Hines, Hinton Battle, Johnnie Smith, Liz Walton and other well established performers and teachers. Carrie is also a member of Common Ground Dance Co., a professional company in residence at Dancemoves. She has led Dancemoves' performance troupes to numerous top group and solo awards. Ms. Carrie gave birth to her first child, Jackson Roemer in August, 2006.
About the Assistant Director Anne M. O'Brien graduated from the University of Texas. While in college she danced with and choreographed for UT Dance Team and was a member of Third Coast Jazz Dance Company. Anne recently received her second bachelor's degree in Dance Performance and Education from Towson University. Anne proudly gave birth to her first child, Daniel M. O'Brien in March, 2006. Anne is a member of Common Ground Dance Company.
